Today’s workshop cancelled due to sickness

SD PROJECT — Mia @ 08:04

Hi guys,

Today’s workshop is cancelled, now both me and Per are sick.
I’ve send the two documents we were to work with today in an email for you, risk analysis and group contract. There are instructions in the text, and with the help of Handbook for Small Projects I am sure you can do a good job. Do your best, these are important steps for the project plan. If you have any questions just email us on sdproject@csduppsala.uu.se and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

Good luck!

Project group reminder + info about tomorrow

SD PROJECT — Mia @ 13:27

Hi guys.

What you need  to do today is join the project group you want to work with - on the studentportal. You don’t need to send us anything by email - all of this is done on the studentportal. (If you still don’t have an account, then it’s enough to just decide with the other group members).

In your group, make sure you have a preliminary idea of what to do. Think of Dan roam’s "who, what, where, when, why", chapter 6. To have an preliminary idea about these things is a good start out point for tomorrow’s workshop where we will look at, among other things, innovation.

For tomorrow: You might need to go outside for somethings, so bring warm clothes. To make research and documentation easier - bring some computers, cameras etc.

Looking forward to the workshop, it will be fun!

Missed The Movie showing and discussion of The Yes Men?

SD PROJECT — Per @ 11:22

You can watch the movie here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OazUh0Ym8rc

And reflect upon these questions and summarize on one page - send to sdproject@csduppsala.uu.se.
(75% attendance requirement on lectures as these counts as so if you know you’ll miss more than that - we suggest you do this task)

1. Is it ok to lie when working for something you believe in?
2. What norms/rules are the yes men breaking? Ok? Not ok? Why?
3. What is it that makes the yes men "successful"? Or not successful?
4. Does this inspire you to new ideas? Something you could do to push the idea you already have?

Good luck and enjoy the movie!

Possible project funding? - a bit narrow in the requirements tho

SD PROJECT — Mia @ 16:24

Hey guys,

I just had a seminar for my course in Sociology and I met some ppl from humanioradagarna there. They told me about the possibility for projects to apply for funding through their event. HOWEVER - the requirements to be able to apply for this funding are quite narrow: at least one of the project members need to be student of, or past student of some of the humanitites falculties here in Uppsala (as far as I understand). But have a look, maybe it could be something for some of you. Last day to apply Feb 7. A jury will decide who gets funding.

http://www.humanioradagarna.se/investera-mera/ (unfortunatelly in swedish)

And as I mentioned, cemus cannot fund your projects - but start looking around for funding and sponsoring - and share good ideas with the others!

Have a good weekend!
