Welcome to the course package Global Sustainability Studies 2011 at the Centre for Environment and Development Studies CEMUS, a part of CSD Uppsala.
This fall semester course package of 30 credits offers you the choice of the following courses: Global Challenges and Sustainable Futures 7.5 credits, Critical Perspectives on Sustainable Development in Sweden 7.5 credits, The Global Economy - Environment, Development and Globalisation 15 credits, and Sustainable Development - Project Management and Communication 15 credits.

We will start in the seminar room "Lokomotivet" at 2.15 PM and after a move outdoors after a little while if the weather stays as nice as it is at the moment.

If you could not attend yesterday’s drop-in registration, you can now register digitally through the university’s Student portal (www.studentportalen.uu.se). The registration is open for a limited time only. You need to be accepted to the course to be able to register.
If you haven’t applied, but would like to study at Cemus during the fall semester, you can make a late application through www.studera.nu. Please contact our administration as well (utbildning@csduppsala.uu.se), or the course coordinators directly, to get information about the course schedule. Don’t wait for the application to go through the system. It takes a few days and you don’t want to miss interesting and important lectures and seminars.

Warmly welcome to the course package Global Sustainability Studies 2011!
At registration on the Thursday the 25th of August (drop in,2-5 PM in the Cemus library) you will have the chance to meet the coordinators of the courses, check out Cemus, choose which courses to register for and perhaps meet some of your fellow students. An inspiring lecture for all Cemus courses will be given the same day at 6-8 PM ( Lecture hall 3 at the business department, Ekonomikum). The lecture will be followed by snacks and drinks and open forum for meeting your fellow students, coordinators and the invited guest lecturers.

An introduction to the course package and a welcome to Cemus is scheduled for the following week on Monday the 29th of August, between 2 and 4 PM (room to be announced).
