Updates

CCL — Cecilia @ 16:09

Hey all!

Just a reminder that we have brought forward Wednesday’s seminar to tomorrow (Feb 21st), which means that Wednesday is cancelled.
This is because Annika’s lecture, which was supposed to be today, has been moved to February 28th since she was sick today.

Another reminder: don’t forget to send us your question(s) for Mike Hulme’s video lecture/seminar so we can put them together and send to him before the lecture (deadline = February 22nd)
During Hulme’s lecture/seminar (the 27th of february) we will be in the Learning Lab at Blåsenhus. It’s the big round room you can see if you look up from the main entrance and it’s on the second floor in building 21.

And finally - we have uploaded a new updated schedule here to the left.

See you tomorrow!
Cecilia & Christian

Uploaded Documents

CCL — Chris @ 10:58

Dear Students,

To the left you can find the Course Information Pack, in case you haven’t picked up a hard copy from us during registration. We have also upploaded the IPCC AR4 Summary for Policy Makers, which may be a useful reference for your Assignment 1 presentations.

Regarding Assignment 1, we will use part of the seminar tomorrow (25th) to assign you groups and let you discuss how you would like to complete the task the following week. For anyone who misses tomorrow’s seminar, we will post your group information following the seminar - you will need to contact each other to plan the presentation.

More will be explained tomorrow.

Preparation for lecture 29th of March

CCL — Johan @ 17:19

Hej!

Annika Nilsson who is coming to lecture on Tuesday 29th of March has asked you to do some preparations before the lecture. See instructions below:

In preparation for the lecture each student is expected to familiarize themselves with the media debate on climate change in their respective country (or region) by using the web to look at the reporting in some of the major newspapers (or other available mass media sources).  What are the key messages? What sources do the media quote (e.g. scientists, politicians, people having to deal with consequences of climate change)? Are there features of the reporting that are specific to the political and cultural context in the country (or region)? Has the reporting changed over time (try finding some articles that came out more than five years ago)?

See you all!

Johan & Dermot

Lecture 7th of March cancelled

CCL — Johan @ 11:25

Unfortunately Annika Nordgren Christensen has had to cancel today’s lecture due to illness. We shall try to reorganise for another date in the future. In the meantime, we shall cancel today’s class so you are free until tomorrow. Apologies for those affected, and a reminder that if you are requiring your daily dose of Cemus, the Actors & Strategies class this evening is showing the film ‘Toxic playground’ for free in Slottsbiografen (opposite Stockholm’s Nation) with the director, producer and main subject present. The film starts at 18.00 and we’ll finish 20.00. You are more than welcome to join.

See you all tomorrow/this evening!

Dermot & Johan
