About the event
Does it matter which kinds of stories we tell?
We’ve always told and listened to stories. But what do the stories at the forefront of our culture (and streaming services) tell us about ourselves and the times we’re living in? How do they impact our comings and goings? And what are some of the stories we’re perhaps not hearing enough of? Stories of ideas, sorrow and solutions. Stories that perhaps are more useful in these times of trouble.
Documentary filmmaker Mattias Olsson of Campfire Stories (campfire-stories.org) spells out a parallell universe to the current film streaming landscape.
About Mattias Olsson
Filmmaker Mattias Olsson is the founder of Campfire Stories, which is a film platform that aims to inspire change towards a future of ecological balance and human sanity. His background is that of a still photographer, which was his profession during the 13 years he lived in New York. Since he moved back to Sweden in 2007 he’s produced five films for Swedish television (SVT) and 14 films for Campfire Stories. He’s also a podcast producer and a lecturer. And an enthusiastic hobby-farmer, with a particular love for growing tomatoes and chilies.
