April 4-7: Opening Week at Kollaboratoriet Uppsala

Welcome to the Official Opening Week at Kollaboratoriet Uppsala.

Co-hosted by CEMUS and the Live Baltic Campus Project at UU

Welcome to the official opening of Kollaboratoriet Uppsala, (Uppsala Collaboratory). Kollaboratoriet Uppsala is a physical space for collaborative activities and events. It’s purpose: hosting new collaborations for a better world.

The space offers various flexible furniture arrangements for different kinds of groups and events, street access next to the river near Gamla Torget and 80m2 for groups of up to 40. We invite you to make use of the space in the year ahead. If you have a new collaboration, meeting or event you would like to initiate, or if you are simply interested in Kollaboratoriet, warmly welcome to visit us during our opening week.

Kollaboratoriet works with three themes, for which activities could take many forms

  • opening new, valuable channels between academia and civil society
  • crossovers of art and science, culture and critique in the shadow of global challenges and transitions
  • supporting new pathways for social innovation and action towards sustainable futures

FRIDAY 7 APRIL, 12:00 – 18:00
‘CALM EMERGENCY’ EXHIBITION INCLUDING WORKS FROM ACCLIMATIZE

Kollaboratoriet is transformed into an art installation. Also on display will be some works from Moderna Museet’s Stockholm’s ‘Acclimatise’. During 2016-2017, citizens, artists, authors and humans from many parts of the world contributed their responses to existence under the shadow of a changing climate. Acclimatize is now available as a think tank, a source of inspiration full of ideas and reflections on climate change.
