What is a Sustainability slam?
The participants will have a maximum of 8 minutes to present their sustainability related thoughts, research, project or initiative. The audience will then select a slam champion. To be able to win, make sure to present your message in a creative way, for example with a poetry slam, a music performance or any other way you like! This will be a great opportunity to share your message and to also get inspired by the other contributors. It will be possible to perform in English or in Swedish.
The event will take place on Saturday, 11th of May at Humanistiska Teatern in Uppsala and it will start at 19:00.
The slam champion will not only win a price but also gets the opportunity to perform again at the Uppsala Student Sustainability Festival, which takes place on the 12th of May. A crowd of diverse students interested in sustainability will be in attending this event and you will therefore have the opportunity to reach an even broader audience with your performance.

Slammers wanted!
Do you want to share your sustainability related research, project or other type of initative with a general public in a fun and creative way? Come perform at the Uppsala Sustainability Slam in Humanistiska teatern, May 11th (from 19 and onward)! You can be a student, a researcher or represent an organization that does work on sustainability issues. Bring your work to the center stage at Uppsala Sustainability Slam! Presentations can be in English or Swedish.
The theme of the event is “Letters to my Grandchildren”. The theme is open for interpretation, as long as you can connect your submission to the subject of sustainability you can apply with whatever your imagination allows!

In case you do not want to actively perform we would also be very happy to welcome you in the audience.

Vad är ett Sustainability slam?
Deltagarna får som högst 8 minuter på sig att presentera sina tankar, forskning, projekt eller initiativ om hållbarhet, varpå publiken korar en vinnare. Om du vill vara säker på att vinna så tänk på att göra det kreativt, genom till exempel poesi, ett musikframträdande eller vilket sätt du än kan komma på! Det är ett fantastiskt tillfälle att dela med dig av ditt budskap samtidigt som du kan bli inspirerad av andra. Det är tillåtet att framträda på både svenska och engelska.
Själva eventet tar plats den 11 maj i Humanistiska teatern i Uppsala och börjar klockan 19.00.
Slam-vinnaren kommer inte bara vinna ett pris utan också ha möjligheten att få framföra sitt framträdande på Uppsala Student Sustainability Day den 12 maj, där studenter från olika bakgrunder med ett intresse för hållbarhet kommer delta – vilket betyder en ännu större chans att nå ut med sitt budskap!
Temat är öppet för tolkning, så länge du kan koppla ditt bidrag till hållbarhet så kan du skriva upp dig med vad helst din fantasi tillåter!

Då ska du delta på Uppsala Sustainability Slam i Humanistiska teatern, 11 maj (från kl. 19 och framåt)! Presentationer kan vara på engelska eller svenska. Temat för evenemanget är “Brev till mina barnbarn”. Temat är öppet för tolkning, så länge du kan koppla din inlämning till ämnet hållbarhet kan du ansöka med vad din fantasi tillåter!
