The Fireside Carbon Chat ? A No-Nonsense Climate Podcast with Kevin Anderson

In this fiery podcast climate scientist Kevin Anderson cuts through the lies and smokescreens of how to deal with one of the greatest challenges of our life-times! Join us around the fire and in throwing new logs into the climate debate.

The podcast will highlight other people’s work and voices through interviews by Kevin or a guest host, and focus good examples of good work that is already going on in the world. We will also do in-depth interviews around Kevin’s work, and record shorter comments with honest and grounded critique.

We hope you will learn something new and useful, and inspire to meaningful and effective action on climate and connected issues.

 

Kevin Anderson is professor of Energy and Climate Change, Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research, University of Manchester, visiting researcher, Uppsala University, and a long time CEMUS contributor. He is one of the world’s leading climate scientist and most influential voices in the climate debate. He has pioneered research on carbon budgets and pathways to acceptable mitigation levels, and worked on the technical, social and economic interactions involved in the transformation of energy systems, the mitigation and adaptation to climate change. Kevin is the Manchester host of the podcast.

 

Daniel Mossberg is lead outreach and educational coordinator at CEMUS, Uppsala University with over 20 years of experience of working on climate change in education and different courses at CEMUS. He started and conceptualized one of the longest running climate conferences, ClimateExistence, focusing on intersection between the existential and climate issues. Daniel is the producer and Uppsala host of the podcast.
