Learning outcomes week 3

On completion of the course, the student should be able to:

  • summarise and critically relate to different perspectives, central theories and concepts within the climate change leadership field;
  • discuss and problematise current issues and research within the climate change leadership field
  • identify, analyse and critically relate to power relations, ethical dilemmas and conflicts within the climate change leadership field;

Assignment week 3

The examination in preparation for the mandatory seminar/workshop Friday September 21 focuses on to plan, build, realising change in the world in the form a systems-thinking visual project plan.

The systems map/visual should show the end goals (what you are trying achieve) of the project/work during the course, and how to get there. Reference sources when relevant and connect to the topics, concepts, theories and perspectives we have discussed during the first three weeks of the course. It can be a physcial paper map (take a picture of it to upload) or a digital version.

You will do an individual systems map, but collaboration with others are welcome (for example getting feedback on a draft).

The systems map should include:

    1. Your name and tentative title project name.
    2. Goals and the practical things you are trying change/achieve – what are the end results? – how are emissions lowered? – how does adaptation relate to your project?
    3. Impacts – what are the negative and positive impacts along the way? Environmental, social, economic?

Upload your text no later than Thursday September 20 at 21.00 here: (if the link doesn’t work just login to studentportalen and upload the assignment) and be prepared to present and discuss your systems map in class.
