The lecture will give brief overview of Global Climate Initiaves, will provide comparison of Climate Performance of Baltic Sea region countries, will share experiences of renewable energy development in Lithuania and will make space for debate on individual actions for climate change mitigation and adaptation.
Linas Kliučininkas is a professor at the Department of Environmental Technology, Kaunas University of Technology, Lithuania. He has an extensive record of publications in environmental engineering and sustainability science. The major part of publications is of an applied character and has an interdisciplinary nature. Current research is focused on the development of advanced materials for air purification applications and development of added-value products from plastic waste. During the last decade Kliučininkas has initiated and participated in a number of international programs and projects supporting environmental & sustainability studies and research in the Baltic Region. He is a member of Editorial Board of the International Journal of Environment and Sustainable Development as well as member of the Editorial Advisory Board of the International Journal Management of Environmental Quality. He is an expert of EU Framework programme Environment and Energy Infrastructures.
