What is responsible consumption and production and how we can go about achieving it? How does this play out across the supply chain of the mining sector from producers to consumers? And what role can the youth specifically play in achieving SDG 12?
Join us for a multinational seminar to discuss these questions across differing geographical, cultural and social-economic contexts. This seminar is part of the Swedish EPA and UNDP’s Young Environmental Journalists campaign which brings together young ambitious journalists, students and practitioners focusing on environmental and human rights protection in the mining sector in Colombia, Kenya, Mongolia, and Mozambique. As part of the course, this seminar will connect the participants with students in a Swedish university context to exchange knowledge, experiences and thoughts on achieving SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production.
The 2020 cohort of the Young Environmental Journalists has 100 participants from 27 countries, including Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, India, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Mexico, Mongolia, Mozambique, Nigeria, Somalia, and South Africa.
Please register online via this link to secure you place in the seminar. You will then be sent a zoom link in the lead up to the seminar.
