Ed Hawkins (2018): warming stripes graphic depicting annual mean global temperatures 1850-2018.
Art, writing, and culture as catalysts for change
The example above, the warming stripes graphic by Ed Hawkins (2018), exemplifies how we can use of media other than spoken language to communicate climate change. Depicting scientific data visually, the stripes convey facts of science in a simple accessible way for the general public. In this section we have gathered a gallery of different artistic forms and media that have been employed to communicate about climate change.
