Alan AtKisson has worked in sustainability, sustainable development, and systemic change since 1988. He created pioneering initiatives, tools and methods that have spread globally, and he has held multiple leadership positions, including Assistant Director-General and Department Director at Sida (the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency), where he led Sweden’s global funding programs in research, innovation, strengthening civil society, and mobilising development investment. Alan has served as a strategic advisor to many governments, cities, companies, and the United Nations, spoken to hundreds of audiences in over 50 countries, and published eight books, as well as many articles, poems, and songs.
