Ecocidio is a Scientific documentary directed scientific explorer subantartic, documentary and filmmaker cinematographer by Rodrigo Polić and produced by Aysén Films. The film poses a central, uncomfortable question to the viewer: what causes more pollution – a forestry company, mining operations, salmon farming, or the city where you live? Its core premise is that severe assaults on ecosystems should be considered and prosecuted as universal crimes.

Rodrigo Polić is a filmmaker, cinematographer, and scientific explorer of Patagonia, known for undertaking daring solo kayaking expeditions to document the natural environment of Chilean Patagonia and for collaborating with scientists to film and study Chile’s far south.

Sebastian Kirppu is a forest biologist, lecturer, course leader and expert in forestry who has long worked with nature value inventories of forests, especially boreal forests (coniferous forests) and is committed to forest biodiversity. He is currently working for Protect the Forest as a biologist, inventor and forest ambassador in Sweden and internationally, and also gives guest lectures and courses on the forest and its ecosystem at folk high schools, colleges/universities, as well as forest companies and authorities.
